Ref : AIRIEF/CIR. NO. 52
To,
Dated : 17th July 2026.
All Pensioners' Units affiliated to AIRIEF,
As our members are aware, the Hon'ble Supreme Court has identified our case to be fit for being referred to 'SamadhanSamaroh', an initiative by the Hon'ble SC for resolving cases pending with the Court for a very long time. This initiative will culminate in a 'Special LokAdalat' between 21st and 23rd August 2026. In our case , all the Petitioners and both the Respondents are expected to file their consents for resolution through mediation before 31st July 2026. In this regard, we had certain queries and doubts and needed clarifications to these as soon as possible. Further, our cases appeared in the weekly cause list of the Court no. 9 (for a probable hearing on the 15th and/or on the 16th July 2026 since ours is a Regular Case).
Hence, it was decided by the President that 2 to 3 members of the LSG would proceed to Delhi on 14th July to seek clarifications from the Mediation Centre (Delhi High Court) as also to have a meeting with our Sr. Counsel Shri Nidhesh Gupta in view of the listing.
On arrival at Delhi on the 14th July 2026, we sought an appointment with our Advocates. Sri R K Singh informed us that they were engaged in an ongoing case which would take time, so a meeting with the Sr. Advocate would be possible on 15th in the premises of the SC in the first half. Hence, we visited the Mediation Centre (DHC) to which our case CA No. 3466/2024 has been referred for an amicable solution. We met the AO (J) there to seek clarifications on our queries and doubts regarding the Conciliation process.
-
1.He warmly received us and gladly provided the clarifications to our doubts and queries We also enquired if the Consents from all the parties concerned were received and what the communications from the UOI and the LIC were. We submitted our Consent duly signed by the President, AIRIEF, on that day itself and informed him that we were seriously interested in the resolution of our grievances through mediation provided the respondents agree to an amicable resolution and that if any of the petitioners has not submitted consent till now, we would ensure thhat the consent is submitted. The Admin Officer (J) took the CA-wise list of petitioners and respondedents from us and assured to provide the informationn after ascertaining the position from their recordsds. He also wanted contact details of key persons of thehe Respondents, which we provided them and there.e.

2.On 15th July 20266, we also met Sr Counsel Shri Nidhesh Gupta annd Adv. Shri RK Singh. Both of them appeared doubtful if the hearing would start on either the 15th or the 16th of July. During the meeting, Sri Nidhesh Gupta gave some information about thee bench, possibility of listing, plan for expepediting, etc. we informed both of them that all the petitioners, who have challenged the DHC orrder, have given their consents for pre-conciliatioion sittings and asked him whether he could pursrsue the AG for advising his client to give their coonsent for SS. Sri Gupta felt that it would be a goodod option if the UOI and LIC came with a reasonaably acceptable proposal. Hence, he readily agreeeed and told us that he would take up this matteer with the AG and the Sr. Advocate of LIC, if posossible today itself, or within two days and revertrt to us.
-
3.As regards, the Consent froom the Legal Representatives of late Shri KML Asthahana, we requested Shri RK Singh to obtain it from theirr AoR and to file the same. He agreed to do that.
-
4.Later in the day, we also visited the Mediation Centre and met the AO agaiain to confirm that consents from all the petitioners,s, except KML Asthana, were received. We informmed him that the consent from AOR of Shri KMLA wouould reach his office soon.
-
5.The Respondents' participatioion in the SS process appears to be doubtful. Howevver, we are playing our part sincerely.
With best wishes,
Ranjan Dey Sarkar General Secretary

Hard Times in China: Tier-One Cities Ruined — 50M Jobless, Overseas Masters Earn Just $200/Month 4 July 2026 #chinaobserver
Her postgraduate tuition in the United Kingdom reportedly cost more than 20,000 pounds a year, or about 200,000 yuan. Her family spent heavily to send her overseas, but she has been unable to find suitable work since returning home. She is now financially dependent on her parents.

ONly to come back that pay up to 10k RMB a month. It will take a decade to earn that money back!
@ronnelacido1711 13 days ago Chinese universities might as well offer Master's/Doctorate degrees on Ride Hailing/Food Delivery to give these workers some academic pride.

@DavidLee-lr1ln 13 days ago Masters degrees are not worth the paper they are printed on. The holders are either under-employed or not employed. @raygordon1822 13 days ago Masters degree in "FASHION MANIGMENT" that do you expect. Its NOT USABLE. These BS degrees can be traced back to DODGEE Universitys.
@frizzytips-45 13 days ago With all the smart people there are in China, it's too bad their system doesn't reward entrepreneurship.
Pemsioners betrayals towards their own seniors every five years as per the directions of their 85 % strong anti-worker/anti-promotion/anti-pension and its upgradation TU from 1.9.56 by not demanding pension like "Oriental life and SBI" indulged in anti-mainframe (which is after all not a computer without a internet) agitation for decades resulting TU rights withdrawn and assts retiring in entry grade itself unlike officers with no intention to recoup lost TU rights. Now they are bold enough to say that they got back PF their contribution by commuting one third basic pension and all the pensions received are third benefit which may be different for different persons till death which fulfilled the desire of their TU mentors. Unless other15% pensioners tell the fact of LIC gave windfall profit of more than 10 lakh crores to GOI which had after all recovered the initial investment of 5 crores on 1.9.56 with 12% PA return for 69 years cumulatively to LOK ADALAT/SC in reply to non-affordability by LIC, they are doomed to die without any sympathy from any quarters not only from 1.9.56 but from this day to eternity till no one is left behind. It is called KARMA known for 5000 years.
