Modi govt takes strong step against WhatsApp username feature! Centre issues notice to Meta amid fraud concerns

The government is examining WhatsApp's new usernames feature amid concerns that it could facilitate impersonation, fraud and other online scams. Meta has maintained that the feature includes several safeguards designed to curb misuse.

Freedom has no authority. It has never known authority. It is not the rejection of authority, but the non-existence of it. Both authority and law, outer and inner, are put together by thought. The outer authority, sometimes rational, sometimes irrational, has its place and its responsibility; one cannot brush it aside, and the intelligence of freedom knows its limitation and its necessity. When every PSU/pSB is having different cadres/pay scales/DA/number of promotions/ fringe benefits with different profits/losss some recent pensoners are proud of achievemts in LIC who are betrayers of their seniors every 5 years having double the real wages/double the pensions. They don't write about LIC had given more than 10 lakh crores as windfall profit after recovering the investment of 5 crores on 1.9.56 with 12% return PA for 69 years to GOI. Unless this point is placed before LOK ADALAT /SC with a single senior counsel we are not going to get revised pension with arrears even after our death as unearned money to our kin which is a curse all over the world against egalitarian society. It seems we are destined to live in penury with no money on hand to enjoy while alive.
