Hours later, as these visuals were recorded between 11 PM and 1 AM, Jantar Mantar looked dramatically different. The crowds had dispersed, police had begun clearing the protest site, and NDMC sanitation workers launched an overnight clean-up operation.
While heaps of plastic bottles, paper plates and food packets remained scattered across the protest ground, a handful of CJP protesters stayed back to help clean the area before leaving.
This report captures the final hours of the protest, the massive clean-up effort, and what was left behind after one of Delhi's biggest student-led agitations. There's a lot of plastic used here. I feel like no one else saw an alternative.
