EASTERN NEWS 156TH ISSUE OCTOBER,2026 In about a few days' time, the monsoon of the year will be beating the retreat of disappearing from Bengal and the entire north India saying good bye leaving a hope of good crop later this year. The climate will be friendlier and the season of festivals will set its feet commencing with celebration of Gandhiji jayanti. The greatest festival of the land, particularly West Bengal and the Eastern India, the Durga puja, lasting for five days will commence on 17th October.
