L I C PENSIONERS ‘S ISSUES
First of All there was a hearing in Bank Pensioners case (MC Singla ) in the Hon ble Supreme Court and Arguments over judgment reserved and court directed all parties that they should submit their written submissions within two weeks. Now it’s expected that the court may pronounce their orders by the end of November 2026- Dec 2026. But LIC Pensioners case of updation of pension is totally different from this case.
It’s reliably learnt that in our matters of Updation of Pension, periodically increase of 20% Pension to 80 yrs + pensioners, and full pension up to 67 yrs to retired Pensioners on their deaths instead of 65 yrs , Pensions to development officers on their termination under Service conditions, and Apprenticeship Period to be included in to service period there are primarily discussions held with lic on top level . Please remember for the first time the Secretary DFS is made member board of lic by govt and he participated on 7 th board meeting after our discussions on 5 th with the honble Secretary of DFS .
As the Secretary is himself board member we don’t need to contact or discuss our issues with others . He is taking care and will call us on appropriate time as he assured . Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit DFS.
