Hon’ble SC directed the parties to file written pleadings and reserved the order !

My views : Both parties argued their case with supportive citations.

I was very much impressed by Dr Manish Singhvi who appeared for Petitioner ( Late Sri Singla ) who quoted 

1993 ‘ unconditional offer to join the Pension Scheme’ in lieu of CPF ‘ and that offer letter contained a clause ‘ for pension updation’ and also ‘ Draft pension regulations’ circulated in 1993 which also carried the same clause’

However, in 1995 it was omitted as such but was provided for in appendix to certain clauses . He quoted SC order in RS Pande Vs SBI where officer was made for those with 15 years of service can apply for VRS and shall get pension on pro rata basis with other terminal benefits but later denied pension on the plea that in our scheme minimum service for pension is 20 years ! SC came down heavily on SBI and termed its act as unfair and an attempt to wriggle out from the basic contact . 

I think this alone should clinch a favourable order !

TODAYS’ PROCEEDINDS THROUGLY EXPOSED THE LEADERSHIP OF UNION/ IBA ( Repeated reference to certain associations who signed the deal and they don’t have problems with the present status and have not come to the court etc ) 

Let’s wait for final order which would have bearing on our case as well !!
