Excerpts from the other blog and comment on it : All conventional weapons euphmestically known as " organisational actions " have outlived utility and hence useless weapons, producing no results. Letters, Petitions and Memoranda, go to Waste Paper Baskets or Paper Shredders ( This I have repeated any number of times.). Honestly let All the Pensioners Associations disclose as to how many of their letters/ memoranda have been replied and with results, if any, since 24- 11-2001 ( the day on which LIC passed a Resolution about our Pension Updation and sent it Government) to this date. Stonewalling and insensitive attitude is the reply. In Service Associations themselves have no right of negotiations with the Management and Government. They are at the mercy of one-sided information sharing or notifications. It is a tall order to expect that LIC/ Govt will have any talks or negotiations with LIC Pensioners Associations, on their long pending issues, especially Pension Updation with retrospective effect 1-8-1997. Whether we like it or not, our Civil Appeals in Supreme Court are the only last resort. But unfortunately, Pensioners Associations appear to create more hurdles and mess through steps like allowing tagging all sorts of New Caes at preliminary stage with our long pending Civil Appeals and still either keep totally silent or try to justify as if it is a new opportunity ! At this rate, I shudder to think of as to what is in store for LIC Pensioners !! Your apprehensions are legit. In the present milieu you can't play by gentlemen's rules. Pensioners are happy today in spite of some deficiencies. They hide their happiness in more ways than one. Who knows? Some 'dhrishti' or 'evil eye' may befall on them making their lives miserable. So, they go in for making their houses vaastu compliant decorating their entrances with feng shui trappings like bagua mirror, symbols like OM and SWASTIKA, lemon and mirchi etc.
A perusal of SC calender shows the chances if our cases coming up for hearing in 2026 are almost remote. Coming week is declared a Miscellaneous week. After that Diwali vacation. That leaves only two weeks in Nov. There could be again a Miscellaneous week post Diwali vacation. In December too only first two weeks SC functions. After that it is vacation till January first week. In December too there could be Miscellaneous week as SC practices having only Miscellaneous before and after vacation. Added to that the tagged case has time upto 27th Nov for counters by respondents All these factors indicate that our cases may have to wait for 2027 to get a chance of any meaningful listing/hearing. This is my personal view.Thank you, for forewarning " whomsoever concerned " in time/ correct & right time, if only they are listening and acting even now, though it is rather lateDGKNot for nothing, in my yesterday's chat comments, I specifically mentioned THE CONSTHE CONSPICUOUS ABSENCE OF 4 ISSUES.
