TAKE CARE OF YOUR LEVER

The lever is the biggest organ in a human body and has a host
of functions. It plays a big role in digestion process and maintains
blood sugar levels. It helps fight against infection too. Therefore
it is imperative that your lever should stay healthy.
Following precautions need to be taken:
❁ An important function of lever is to remove toxins (poisonous
wastes) from your body. When you subject your lever to excess
alcohol or substances abuse your lever it has to work much
harder to flush them out of your system. If you are a habitual
alcohol drinker, let your lever recover naturally by abstaining
from alcohol for atleast 3 or 4 days.
❁ Exercising also helps keep lever healthy. At times the lever also
develops a disease due to excess fat build up known as ‘nonalcoholic
fatty lever disease’. This can cause a serious damage
to the lever. Exercising is one of the most effective ways of
avoiding this. Disease.
❁ To keep your lever healthy, detox foods are a must. - use garlic
generously in your cooking. Studies reveal that garlic helps the
lever to mobilise enzymes that remove toxins from the body.
Garlic also has high amount of natural compounds which clean
the lever.
❁ Green tea is another good method of flushing out toxins, as it
contains anti-oxidants known to improve lever function. Drink
green tea regularly.
❁ Lettuce & spinach nullify the effect of chemicals & pesticides
that make their way into our food, and thus protects the lever.
❁ Beetroot is another excellent vegetable to detoxify the lever.
❁ Avocados rich in anti oxidant and walnut rich in omega - 3
fatty acids are other food items which greatly help the lever
in removing toxins.
