lots of rumours are circulating & as permutations &
combinations of interpretation of so-called SC Bench 7th May 2015
judgement ,ranging from one end of the spectrum to farthest end of the
spectrum are getting aired in email or blogs, & as some Assns/Fedns
have met CO Authorities, I decided to end the daydream.
I
tried at 515pm today Chief {Legal}, LIC CO,Smt Sadhana Dhamane,PA told
me she has gone to MD for discussions.I told him I contact again after
30 mts.I tried at 550pm but BSNL was in form, All lines are busy, please
try later !
Not
easy to get Top management, it gets on one's nerves.What to do,we have
to be personification of patience, perseverance & endurance.
I rang up at 6.10pm,promptly PA Sri Gokhale connected me
2) I
introduced myself ,she was able to recognise me, she added ,she still
remembers VISION 2005 SEMINAR at MDC in 1/1997, when I was steering
MDC, select Officers ADM/DM/SDM , handpicked on the basis of qualitative
criteria ,32 in all for a 9 day Session,almost all of them occupied
& occupy positions of Chairman, MD,ED,ZM.
I
mentioned about developments in legal battle still going on for
several years,the latest SC Bench order dt 7th May,2015 & asked her
LIC response & action. She told me that 20% out of the amount
deposited earlier in Rajasthan HC will be paid to them.
When
I asked her this SC Order in so many words connote payment of pension
too, she said LIC, UOI SLPs are admitted & they shall await final
outcome.
3) I
made a plea that at her level in charge of Legal Dept, I am sure ,I
added she will not go merely by the legalistic angle but also other
critical aspects of gross anamolies when 8/9 cadres below get more
pension than ZM/ED & further, 15,000 pensioners have died &
Family Pensioners have shot up from 18 % to 38% & in some Zones
still higher. We shall be grateful to her ,if she interprets cases with a
human angle & as a progressive institution LIC takes care of its
elders & pensioners who put in such devoted service
I sought pardon if I have intervened & she told me I am well within my rights to place issues in proper perspective
4) As
I could not pursue further as good time has passed,I tried & tried
EDPer.It was ringing & nobody was taking. Let me see
