The application of LIC was for withdrawal of 20% of the amount deposited. What was there
in this for us to oppose? Let them
withdraw.
But withdrawal does not mean payment of the same.
SC order has so far not been appreciated in its correct
perspective. It does not say that 20% of the amount deposited be only
paid.
It says 20% of the amount which has become due till now, the date
of the order, withdrawal of 20% is only a latitude given but it has not been
made a rider.
By this opposition our persons have aided LIC to come to SC
saying that since 20% has not been allowed to be withdrawn they could not make
payment. The order of the SC has also to be read with "continuum",
which will make the position clear.
But when we do not want to appreciate the correct perspective
or out to somehow hinder the smooth progress, God only can bless them.
Only the matter of payment of the amount should have been
pursued instead of wrongly interpreting the order dated 7/5/2015. by which the
SC has admitted the claim of the pensioners.
