LIC's counter to AIRIEF writ petition

Dear Mr Sahni, Thank you for mailing the counter. On going through the same,I found that they have given an example to justify the anomalous DR formula before 1/8/1997. It appears to be convincing when it is applied to the same retiree, but the fallacy is evident when we compare an in service employee and a retiree where the Basic pay and Basic Pension are the same.
