Appeal to AIRIEF members.

Dear Colleagues,

      We are all well aware that it is Sri. K.M.L.Asthana who is solely responsible for our twin demands of 100% DR neutralization and Updation of pension at every stage of Wages Revision made for the working employees. And he fought for the above individually and secured favourable judgments in the High Courts of Jaipur Branch of Rajasthan and Chandigarh of Punjab & Haryana. Delhi HC too endorsed Jaipur judgment. Despite the  hard efforts of LIC  / UOI, Supreme Court did not come forward to stay the above judgments. I need not repeat further developments as they are widely circulated among our members by All India Retired Insurance Employees' Federation then and there. 

      Sri. KML.Asthana initially had to differ with a particular  Association, as it was very particular about DR issue only. AIIPA stood away from these two issues for some time; rather they were against our demands. Little later they propagated that approaching legal avenues would not bring in any solution. They believed in negotiation with the Management. How matters stand with them now are crystal clear. I do not want to enter into that subject.

      Sri. KMLA was successfully conducting court matters with full backing of AIRIEF. At a point of time, a gentleman entered into the arena, tried to side track our efforts with obnoxious suggestions and over power Sri. KMLA.. Having known his designs, KMLA started distancing himself from him. 

      Subsequently the gentleman found his own way and started his journey with colourful objectives and promising goals. Being an expert in story- telling, he could annex a band of followers. Money collection was on. Every one started praising him for his painstaking trips to bring round the issues to a closesure with a striking fortune to the followers. A particular blog gave him sufficient space to help him enhance his popularity. One or two gentlemen stood by his side with an aim of discouraging and degrading the sincere efforts of Sri. KMLA. To what extent his journeys yielded results, it is everybody's guess.

      AIRIEF stood like a rock in dealing with our issues through an eminent Sr.Counsel. Matters have almost come to the final assuring stage based on concrete evidences collected by dint of hard and diligent efforts. We must thank our leaders viz. M/S. S.S.Saxena, R.B.Kishore, G.Krishnaswamy, KML.Asthana,B.Angurajan, M.P.Agnihotri, Pramod Bhatnagar, Ranjan Dev Sarkar, D.D.Gupta, and our Sr.Counsel Sri. Nidesh Gupta, for their contributions towards taking our issues to this much climax position, very near to the winning post. Sri. R.B.Kishore used to equip our legal team with useful materials to strengthen our case through his minute-war communications to M/s Saxena, Ahnihotri, Bhatnagar and Ranjan Dev Sarkar.at the cost of his health. Sri. Agnihotri spent hours to tune up our affidavits and petitions in the midst of his own domestic drawbacks. Both Sri. Bhatnagar and Sri.Ranjan Dev Sarkar have contributed their mite sitting, along with our Sr.Counsel in shaping our affidavit. All the above leaders deserve our appreciation for their innumerable trips to Delhi setting aside their usual convenience and comforts.

      Having failed in all his efforts even to find and fix a suitable Sr.Counsel to purse the case and realizing his pathetic situation at a time when our case almost nearing towards winning post, the gentleman found no other way but to approach our Sr.Counsel with a request to come to his rescue. He has cleverly completed this arrangement without leaking out to us. He is pushed to go down to this level to escape from the wrath of his followers. Now he poses that our Sr.Counsel has argued on the other day only for his organisation with the inputs furnished from his own store. It is evident that the evidences the Sr.Counsel put forth before the court are from our own affidavit. The gentleman poo-poohed when the fact was disclosed by our legal team. Tomorrow he will be ready to boast that the much awaited victory could be achieved only because of his own personal strenuous efforts ! He will even be ready to declare that neither All India Retired Insurance Employees' Federation, Federation of Retired LIC Class-I Officers, Chennai nor All India Insurance Pensioners Association have played any part in this game. Should we not be cautious towards such fantastic player ?
