Dear Shri Verma,
Please
note that for every increase or decrease of four points of rise or
fall in the quarterly average of AICPI-IW from the previous quarterly
average, there is increase or decrease of one slab of DA/DR.
The
previous AICPI-IW average for the quarter May,2016 to June, 2016 was
6260 for pensioners and 6352 for the quarter July, 2016 to September,
2016 for the in-service employees.
The current average is 6315.13.
There
is an increase of 55.13 points[6315.13-6260] for Pensioners, Hence no.
of DR slabs are=55.13/4= 13.79 ie 13 slabs of DR wef 01.02.2017.
In the case of in-service, there is decrease of 36.87[6315.13-6352]. Hence no. of slabs are 36.87/4=9.21
ie reduction of 9 slabs.
So this exercise has no relation with the previous increase of 23 slabs to in-service employees.
Both are different events.
Hope the matter is now clear to you.
with regards,
rksahni
Dear Sir,
Kindly refer to your post of the 1st instant with regard to the above where in it is stated that from 1st Feb-17 LIC Pensioners will get an increase in DA/DR of 13 slabs and that the in-service employees will loose 9 slabs.
From November, 2016 the latter got an increase in DA/DR of 23 slabs and hence the effect in their DA from 1st Feb. 2017 will be of 14 slabs as against this, the figure for pensioners comes to 13 slabs.
I would request you kindly examine this aspect.
Thanking you,
K P Verma
