DEAR ALL,Please find attached the option form in Annexure A to be submitted by pensioners who desire to opt for increased Family Floater cover of Rs 40 lks or 50 lks as per the CO circular dated 23/9/2017, before 30/11/2017.
When the maximum cover was enhanced to Rs 30 lks for the FY 2016-17,Central Office vide circular dated 26/2/2016 allowed revocation of option for increased cover within 15 days of finalisation of the premium for the year which happened sometime in April 2016.
But no such indication is given in the current circular.It is necessary for all Pensioners' Associations to take up with the LIC Management for allowing similar revocation of option within 15 days of finalisation of the premiums for the year 2018-19 if the revised premiums are found unaffordable.
Fortunately a little less than two months are available for submitting the option form.In the meantime let us hope that CO takes a decision in the matter.
