BHUBANESHWAR: Chief Justice of India Justice Dipak Misra, who is retiring next month urged the people not to remain obsessed with litigations and make effort to see if they can be solved otherwise. You are welcome to litigate. But do not romance with litigation," the Chief Justice said.

He, however, added that courts welcome people to litigate if they have genuine grievances. I do not suggest for a moment that you should not fight for a cause. But when the cause is small and can be solved otherwise, then solve it.

Misra was speaking after laying the foundation stone of Odisha State Legal Services Authority (OSLSA) .

Last week In a landmark verdict, the Supreme Court  scrapped the controversial section 377 a 158-year-old colonial law on consensual gay sex. Criminalising gay sex is irrational and indefensible," said Chief Justice Dipak Misra, who headed the five judge bench hearing the case
