11:33 am: The SC posts next date of hearing on the matter on November 12.
11:30 am: The CVC inquiry shall be conducted under the supervision of retired Supreme Court judge AK Patnaik, orders the Supreme Court besides telling the Centre and CBI to provide the CVC report to the court in a sealed cover within 10 days. The court further clears that Interim Director of CBI M Nagehswar Rao should not take any major policy decision. The government has, however, requested three-week time for the probe, saying it has to look into several documents.
