The Identity Card is very well prepared and it contains all the necessary details. Really, it is a good step taken by the O.S. Dept of the Central Office.
However, there is a lacunae therein. In the application form for the identity card, mobile number of the applicant is called for to be mentioned therein. In case of some medical emergency or an accident, particularly retired old pensioners, if some one wants to contact the family member of the victim, it will not be possible to do so because in I D card his mobile number will be available with his mobile in his pocket and not his close blood relation or a person to be contacted in such an emergency. Therefore, mobile number of the close blood relation or the person to be contacted in case of emergency should definitely be also depicted on the identity card.
