Dear Sh Sridharan,
Thanks for your concurring views on Pensioners main issue of REVISION / UPDATION of Basic Pension, and eloborate analysis of the current scenario. Salute to your working spirits even at the age of 87.
I am happy that by and large pensioners have started appreciating the moves. Besides, AIIPA have taken necessary initiative to call upon LIC Chairman and stressed upon him to take up this issue with the Government. I am sanguine all other organisations of pensioners also will see & read " Writing on the wall" and get United on the said one main issue of REVISION UPDATION OF BASIC PENSION, to approach the Government at their earliest. Hardly a period of 2/3 months is left when CEC may announce general elections. Once an announcement comes, Government will have an excuse for not to do any work. So - Need of the hour is UNITY and COLLECTIVE quick action.
Wish all good health and success.
With kind regards,
H K Aggarwal.

Dear Aggarwal ji,At the outset I am very thankful to you forwarding all your mailsI fully share your view that LIC pensioners cannot expect the much needed benefit of upgradation of pensions to flow through any judicial verdict. Unfortunately an ordinary pensioner stands nearly brainwashed due to the unnecessary hype created by leadership of some of the organisations which are in the legal fight and he believes that Supreme court will give everything.Yes ,SC will one day deliver goods but not before thegovt.as a matter of policy decides to approve a scheme for periodical upgradation of pensions in the banks through the medium of IBAYou must have noticed that there are about 20 base & about half a dozen apex organizations for bank pensioners and not one of them have taken this issue to the court. It must also be known to you that some rattling has started with regard to RBI pensioners since recently even though the govt had earlier rejected the offer made by the former governor of RBI.I am now 87 but still confident of working. While I deeply appreciate the zeal and enthusiasm of friends like you and m/s Bhasin ,Arunkumar and others (none of whom I have had the pleasure of meeting ) I honestly feel that though your idea of making mass appeals to PM is very good the timing perhaps is not appropriate. You must have known my present position in the fedn.of retired LIC class 1 officers Assns and It is my decision to completely retire after the forthcoming hearing of our case in SC on 11/10.If I can be of any assistance on any mass programme initiated by your good self or any one at the right time(say early 2019) I will be only happy to associate myself with it.with my best regards -GN SridharanChennai
