Dear Shri Raj Kumar Singh Ji
Hope everything would be fine in Delhi.
I have seen the order dated 26/11/2018 in our SLP no. 209292 of 2017. It states, inter alia, that LIC would file response to the objections within a period of three weeks from the date of order. So, the compliance from LIC was expected by 17/12/2018. Kindly ensure that a copy of LIC's compliance to the objections is obtained if it has been filed. It is also ordered to list the matter for final disposal on a non-miscellaneous day in the second week of February, 2019. From this direction it looks that next hearing will be final. On SC web site, case stated is shown as
"Pending - (Motion Hearing [FINAL DISPOSAL AT ADMISSION STAGE - CIVIL CASES]) Adjourned (2nd week), List on fixed month (2)-Ord dt:26-11-2018"
Most of the pensioners who are 80+ are inquiring about its meaning. Does it indicate any adverse consequence (it gives an impression that disposal at admission stage would mean dismissal)? I shall be thankful if a line in explanation of the phrase is conveyed.
I feel that next hearing would be very important-but the case would be allotted to the new bench-may be Justice Dipak Gupta will continue co-chairing. Would it cause further adjournments?
We still want to get the case decided at the earliest possible without entangling in side issues. I feel your expert advice in the matter should be of immense help.
Kindly also arrange to send the copies of our objection affidavit.
With kind regards,
M P Agnihotri
