WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY, 5th SEPTEMBER, 2022

WORLD TEACHERS'  DAY, 5th SEPTEMBER, 2022

We all remember our former Philosopher Statesman  &President of India ,Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan,  great & venerable personality, who interpreted the glorious Indian religion & philosophy in his inimitable diction, to the entire World at large,& earned the unique distinction of building  a Bridge of Understanding between the Orient & the OccidentA scholar, Bharat Ratna recipient, the first Vice President and second President of Independent India, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born on September 5, 1888, into a Telugu family. During his tenure as a President of India (from 1962-67), his students and friends requested him to celebrate his birthday. He replied, "Instead of celebrating my birthday, it would be my proud privilege if September 5 is observed as Teachers' Day." Since then, his birthday has been observed as Teachers' Day.

On September 5th ,we remember him & his teachings of morals & morale, of ethics & spiritualism & to follow his footsteps as a disciple & eternal student in the Book of Life. Dr Radhakrishnan was a teacher par excellence himself, and Buddhist philosopher Nagarjun's sutram in Pali — 'shikshanam shrenitam, rida shesham' (teaching is the noblest profession and the rest doesn't matter) — was believed to be his motto in life. His famous quotes ," The end-product of education should be a free creative man, who can battle against historical circumstances and adversities of nature.True teachers are those who help us think for ourselves." The superb ways of good  teachers  is the difference between teaching and educating. Thanks for teaching us, educating us and empowering us.  "Let us remember: One book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world." — Malala Yousafzail. The heart of Education lies indeed in education of the Heart .

Let us Salute the TEACHERS & TRAINERS,  who ,indeed mould human resources , act as catalysts & facilitators  to ignite the spark in every human being. Let us pray school, college & university education gets upgradation with quality teachers & professors of repute to adorn their posts & role, with distinction & to create a large pool of skilled fraternity with academic excellence .Let Guru-Sishya  parampara  grow into a professional & promotional role in tune with priorities of education & employment to a high pedestal  ,world-class & competing with the best of Foreign Universities, to earn accolades of praise on  Teachers' Day.

If Religion is the manifestation of the Divinity already in man, Education & continued education is the manifestation of the Perfection already in man. We bow before our Teachers & Trainers & remember them all with eternal gratitude & goodwill .Let us in our own way directly or indirectly mould individuals, students, trainees,&anyone who comes into contact with us, ignite the spark in them & enhance quality of education in Schools,Colleges & Universities ,which can emerge as Hallmarks of Fame,& become the Torchbearers to spread and  radiate light & illumination. Goethe, the German political philosopher once said, 'Open the shutters so that more light may come in.' Our own prayer of Gayathri is nothing but a prayer of illumination. Let our Motherland India become the Window to the World &let ancient heritage, Scriptures & sayings of Saints & Philosophers ,Poets & Statesmen get assimilated in the psyche of all of us without any dissonance.
