Sri P. V. Bhat President of Udupi Unit and Siraram R Bhat Jt. Secretary of AIRIEF, based in Mysore met the Manager (OS) of Udupi on 5-9-2022 specifically to discuss this matter of crediting of pension on first day of the month. The procedure they follow was clearly explained to us by AO of OS dept. in the presence of OS manager.
1. On the last working day of the month, OS dept. will update their pensioners' records for new additions, deletions, 'no EC received cases' etc and extract the data for payment of pension.
2. This file of records is sent to F&A Dept for its validation on the same day.
3. After validation, F&A dept. will upload this file to its Banker's site on the same day.
4. On 1st of the month pension gets credited from the banker's account to pensioners account in different banks if it is not NEFT holiday.( like 15th August and 26th January, 25th Dec.. for Christmas, these never fall on 1st of a month, Gandhi Jayanthi which falls on 2nd October and Ramzan.
5. Therefore practically in all the months, pensioners accounts should credited on 1st of the next month. There may be delay only in receiving the SMS or neft advice from Banker's, depending on the working style of the respective banks. Those who are having pension accounts in the same bank with which LIC is having its account, are going to get their accounts credited faster than others.

7. *WHAT IS REQUIRED FROM OUR SIDE IS OUR REPRESENTATIVES IN SUCH OF THE DIVISIONS WHERE DELAYED PAYMENT IS OBSERVED HAVE TO VISIT IN THE LAST WEEK OF MONTH AND DISCUSS WITH OS AND F&A Managers for one or two months particularly in this month of September as many days in the first week of October are holidays for Navarathri.*
If any division does the updation and validation only after the close of the month will have to suffer the delay in pension payment.
