Subject: Hitguj Sept 2022 & IBA affidavit in SC
Dear friends
Please find attached Hitguj Sept 2022 and also Affidavit submitted by IBA in
SC in the matter of revision of pension in PSU Banks. IBA has submitted that
revision of pension is not possible for the banks.. Although representative
bodies in PSU Banks and Financial institutions have been demanding revision of
pension on the lines of that granted in RBI in March 2019, MoF is denying
their legitimate demand of revision of pension. MoF is bent upon squeezing maximum
from the profits of PSU banks. As such they do not observe sanctity towards law of the land.
From backdoor all employers are directed not to grant revision of pension. Those who
have gone in SC and pleaded properly have got TRUE justice right from Nakara case of 1980.
Others are languishing although their demand of revision is justified as per law of the land.
We in RBI have to keep in a view the above stark realities and accordingly move instead of
taking dogmatic stand or expecting any other help from any other quarter.. Otherwise, we will
not get true justice in updating our pension. Therefore, those units who have not prepared themselves
in terms of resolution passed in the last conference of our All India may please give second
thought and join the stream of those who have been preparing for legal battle to do away injustice.
