1)Even after some correct info is
gathered & communicated,there looks to be delay in finality of that advice
or instruction.So, when after hectic efforts with LIC CO Top management at
Personnel & Legal Dept,I conveyed the news that LIC CO has instructed both
Jaipur & Chandigarh on same day,long before to withdraw from respective
Court Registry & make 20% payment to petitioners in same proportion. As few
days before Courts have opened the action must have been initiated
2)As regards Delhi,as they had to
secure legal opinion from Legal Dept,only few days before,as was conveyed to me
by Chief Per then, a letter was being sent to Retd LIC ClassI Officers Fedn,
3)As it was being aired that no such
letter was received by them, right from Tuesday & Wednesday,I wanted to
direct my efforts to Chief Legal,who was the source of final advice to CO
Per.Frantic efforts 4 times each day could not reach,as either she was not in
seat or with MD .
As the matter was being
delayed, I tried EDP on his mobile, in the morning at residence,it was ringing
but I could not reach him too.
I tried Chief Legal Mobile,ringing,
but not picked up.
I again tried at office, Chief
Legal,PA very attentive ,but she has gone on tour !
I tried yesterday EDP in office.PA
told he is not in his seat
I got from PA to Chief Legal next in
command,Dy Sy Legal Mrs Nadkarni.She heard me, told that she is not looking
after this portfolio,she will ask Asstt Sy Legal concerned the position, asked
for my Landline & Mobile nos.I requested her to see positively I get info
as the matter is delayed, they are court matters & deserve urgent attention
So many other phone calls, but none
from Asst Sy.I remember the comedy or tragedy Dy Sy Legal said another Officer
in the know of these matters has gone on Voluntary Retirement
4)Bapre, today morning, I called
Chief Per on Mobile.within 5 rings,he attended,great, told me that he is
cocksure instns to Jaipur & CGH had gone quite some time before & on
his return from tour,he will verify .Re Delhi, he told me what he said earlier
stands, it is possible, he added ,that EDP would have finalised the draft &
letter must have now been issued to Retd LIC Class I Officers Fedn & they
may receive in 2/3 days time
