1)I spoke to ZO OS Dept to enquire whether all payments 20 % to Listed Members of Retd ClassI Officers Fedn is over.I was told,Supplementary lists are coming & CO wants us to disburse to Pensioners Pension account
I delved into details,after reference to CO letter,I was informed that 18 cases are added to earlier total of 287,When I insisted on which Divisions it refers to,they told me Chennai DO I: 10,DO II : 01, & SZO :7, in all 18
Same must have happened in other ZOs too.
It is not known how the list goes on expanding till DDay.
2)Last few days,I was not able to establish contact with Chief Per,he was on tour 2 days, on leave 2 days,busy with MD etc etc
Today after 3 calls, I got him.I fup the following again:
i)deductions of Mediclaim premium from Pension, preferably, not 2 or 3 but 4, to make Net Pension meaningful to survive.Much earlier, we mentioned in AIRIEF Bluru Resolution ,RIEA Chennai that when Employees are already enjoying 12 Mly dedns without fail, why not for Pensioners ?
Chief Per told me few rounds are over with COOS dept, they are sincere about resolving the issue,I emphasised that pensioners more than anybody else need this facilty , to continue in the FFP mediclaim scheme,that risk shd continue & what they intended by joining the scheme for the family, should not be lost due to any reason whatsoever.
Chief Per added that they are also exploring 12 Mly deductions on par with employees & efforts are on to finalise the permanent solution.
ii)Pensioners List RP,FP,Exgratia ,I said now near 4 months I am fup,final data & list not received.I added CO can send now 31/3/2014 data & soon after fup with erring DO/ZO can send 31/3/2015 statistics
I told him, these matters must get closer fup & scrutiny by Co to make ZO/DO OS more efficient & all these particulars must form a permamnent part of COOS Seminar with ZO.DO OS Officials.Noone has data, is an unwholesome position & sooner, this situation must be rectified
Chief Per assured he will ensure all data is received from every DO/ZO
iii)I told him even after such a long time, again, we are not in a position to state authoritatively that ALL TPAs have issued Laminated ECards with requisite particulars of Family,When SZ recd during July 3 & 4th week, 2 months are over & by now, everything must have been satisfactorily completed
I also emphasised that Cashless Service & facility shd take off quickly &become the norm for early settlement so that pensioner need not cough up huge amounts at the time of admission & at final stage.
iv)Pensioners' Portal & not Pension Portal, I reminded Chief Per ,again of our worthy note 4/2012 containing lot of suggestions for a comprehensive Module for Pensioners to click & know the info they desire in a trice of a moment .I told him ,all data, operations,RP, FP,Mediclaim, Nomination,Commutation, Effective dates, DR slabs,Forms used,& many more calculations,Ready Reckoners for easy & better understanding, must be incorporated positively & expedited
I added that always we are told CO has entrusted to an external Agency but Nothing has come out
Chief promised he will coordinate & speed up the operations
v)I felt sorry to disturb him & said that sooner like PM NAMO initiative for EXISTENCE CERTIFICATE, LIC must be a harbinger to arrive at form of a Digital Certificate by Pensioner,so that all incidental inconveniences & headache of proper witnesses, at this old age, infirm etc can be avoided & we pensioners can also enter the modern age for Life Certificate.Unless CO thinks & starts now,I said Next Year, problem will arise, which snag must be avoided by early consolidation of methodology for this purpose.
3)When I asked him whether I can tell him my last query, he said gladly .
I told him whether still LIC CO is issuing supplementary list for payment of 20 % to Class I Officers/pensioners as per SC Order ,with advice to credit to Pension account of respective pensioners.
He said, mainly ,in a few cases, discrepancies noticed, CO called for authenticated data & now released the details to ZO & thro them to SDMs
He mentioned that they are nearing a solution about wage finalisation & sooner reach a solution.It looks he is also attending 30th Sep Court case.I just heard it.
