THEY WILL BE DELAYED FURTHER. BUT IT HAS MADE THE CASE

OF THE PENSIONERS STRONG AND HAS BENEFITED THE PRESENT EMPLOYEES.  IT SHOULD NOT BE FORGOTTEN THAT ONE ASSOCIATION HAD GONE TO THE CHAIRMAN WITH THE SUGGESTION THAT LET THE PENSIONERS GO TO HELL AND

LIC SHOULD REVISE THE PENSIONS FOR OTHERS.

  Currently, a news is doing the rounds. That someone has approached  the court & has sought a stay on the payment of arrears. In many divisions, this news is being (mis) utilised to pressurise the officers & employees to make payment today(Friday) or tomorrow(Saturday) itself.

    We have enquired from CO authorities & learn that a retiree association has indeed moved the court asking for revision of pension before payment of arrears.

    We wish to say that CO authorities have said that the payment can be done on Monday too. It is most unlikely that the Court will prevent or stay the payment of arrears. There is no need to make haste. There may be some errors in the calculation program. It would be prudent to make the payment only after the errors, if any, are resolved, the payment can be made.

   On another subject, 5 days' week notification is expected in a few days.
