1/8/2012 & POST RETIREES PENSION ARREARS & CV ARREARS NOT PAID,TALK WITH MD

Dear friends,

1)After resolving Pune & Patna pre/8/1997 pensioners 40%IR & circulating the info to u all.I tried my level best to reach EDPer yesterday .Many times, line cannot be secured,as all lines were busy etc

2)Ultimately,I could talk to him on Mobile.I enquired about settlement of Pension arrears & CV arrears to post 1/8/2012 retirees.He told me that will come.I emphasised that already 4 months delay is there,there is lot of delay,many complaints have come,we have also written to CO Top Mgt & CO Circular should be released without any futhe delay

I do not want to share his reply.I was very unhappy.i was shocked actually.

3)So, to relieve my frustration & anxiety ,I wanted to take up the matter straight with MD Smt Usha Sangwan to ascertain the correct position, where it stands, why there is delay etc

When I narrated ,she told me they wanted to place in LIC Board meeting,as Addl Secretary,MOF  was not there, in that Board meeting, this cld not be taken up.She said, however, in the very next meeting, this matter of post 1/8/2012 retirees was placed,as it needed approval & consequent amendment in PR 1995.Now all that is over.She said soon CO Circular will be released. I told her that I learn from EDPer it will take little more time.As amounts are due, anyone will be anxious to get the earliest, inordinate delat ,so I requested her to ensure CO Per Circular on this comes positively during next week.She agreed & promised so

4)I took this opportunity to bring to her notice that we have already written  on steep rise in medeiclaim premium 43 % & more , we have suggested alternatives,she can really help the aged pensioners in this regard.She asked me to send her those suggestions ,which I shall be doing .

5)We could talk on few general matters also.3 rd MD name is still not out,she said.

I told her I was trying to reach her last 2 days, she said she retd from tour only then
