PENSIONERS' EMAILS & FEEDBACK FROM 1st JULY to 31 JULY 2016:SERIES Nos:128 & 129
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1)Respected Kishore ji,  I appreciate and visualize your dedicated involvement  in the major issues of the pensioners  fraternity but there is class of post retirees 1.8.2012 who are yet to receive their Commuted Value and Pension arrear payments. While SCZ, SZ and WB have settled, our zone is yet to accomplish.
A small example of the apartheid attitude and behavior meted to us is that our difference of 2013-14 PLLI is yet not paid while the in service employees  have been recipient of the same as back as first week of April this year.
The manner in which the CZ is working I am afraid if we are going to get enhanced pension and CV before one month from now. Do kindly give a look in this.
Regards

2)Shri Angurajan Ji,  Good-Evening.  Thank you very much for briefing all group members & the entire strength of AIRIEF, through the detailed write-up of -
Shri M. P. Subrahmanian of Madurai.
Although, this information was as per expectations of every member of AIRIEF, but simultaneously, is a befitting reply for all rival associations. Special thanx to
Shri Asthanaji our "torch bearer", has all the patience  for whom, we all pray ALMIGHTY to bless him with a strong will-power & a robust health.

Now, the next line for another thanx -Shri R. B. Kishoreji ,Shri LSRK Raoji ,Shri R. K. Sahniji &Shri C. H. Mahadevanji.

Many thanx to our silent activist -
Shri T. R. Madhava Rao, for rendering his endless help to Shri Asthanaji.

Last but not the least - you, the member who is ready to share every information to all, without any delay.

So, s off to Shri Asthana Ji & all his associates for their respective endless hard work.

Asthanaji...........Zindabaad

3)Dear dear NAN,
1)U already became so familiar with ur ending caption Uncle Nan, in Pensioners Emails & Feedback Fly,many used to ask me
2)It is a wonderful tribute & writeup in The Hindu Metro Plus
How happy I was , when I went thro in full.
Yes, of course, Trainer is a Trainer 1st & Trainer last
He is a wonderful Teacher
He himself has to be a great ,voracious reader to assimilate new developments, new ideas & build his own vision
That u did this with remarkable skill & devised ur own Do it urself programmes for self devpt touches my heart
3)I am reminded of my own moorings partnering with the great Bala sandilyan, proficient in Tamil, English, a versatile person, multidimensional personality
We went around many schools & colleges in Chennai &around for more than 3 years & covered many crucial topics on Personality, Self devpt, Perception, Communication, Motivation, many Behavioural topics with slides & transparencies & Films
Memorable days, unforgettable
When U as Trainer inject positivism, rational approach to men & events,Empathy,& boosts up the morals & morale of students & trainees,it is an everlasting contribution
A Teacher & Trainer does not know where his influenced ends,he influences eternity
Trainees of all hues & colours  remember with gratitude the dose of administrative & marketing skills to widen their horizon
4)All Top notch LIC Mgt ,many many were trained by me in several sessions. We are so glad they carry on the mantle, shine & emit lustre & brilliance

We trainers convert the same to--
YOUTH IS AN ADVENTURE, MANHOOD A CHALLENGE & OLD AGE ONE OF FULFILMENT

4)The message must have reached one and all that all the amended, revised and fresh writ petitions of interested pensioner-organisations have been filed and Delhi HC has allowed them all with a clear-cut directive that all the petitioners and respondents should come prepared for arguments on 4th August without fail.Grateful thanx to our worthy President, Sri SSSaxena who toiled & moiled & ensured a voluminous  AIRIEF Writ,so holistic & wholesome in contents,as is confirmed by veteran Sri MPAgnihotri
Doubts were there in our minds whether our pioneer organisation, AIRIEF, happened to lag behind in completing the legal formalities in time. Criticisms were hovering aloud that our Champion could not be found in the court-hall at all and that our members had to spend unnecessarily on legal matters all these years because of wrongful decisions. If at all any favourable situation comes to all pensioners through court verdicts, it is because of the sane decisions taken followed with faultless timely actions of those particular organisations only. They entertain all sorts of ploy to make us believe that our organisation has lost the required wits and vigour

and that we should no longer depend upon this soulless setup. All their bluffs have proved to be of their selfish imaginations and our Champion has proved his mettle silently and our petitions are coming fast to be heard on 4th August. Thanks to M/s LSRK Rao, R.K.Sahni & C.H.Mahadevan for having flashed the Court orders without any bias. It is needless to point out that we are still maintaining our lead position in the legal matters. We admire the will power of our Champion despite a small setback in his health. We only pray for his rapid recovery from his ailment.
Thanks to our ever vigilant members of our legal committee and Sri. R.B.Kishoreji, our Vice-President of AIRIEF, who took pains all through in extending his assistance in shaping our writ petitions with apt phraseologies. He took keen interest in offering his periodical counsels to LC members. It is known to everybody that he has taken the ' sankalpa ' to be alive in all the committed matters even at the cost of his health and sleep. We should also remember another associate of Sri. Asthana, a silent activist, Sri. T.R. Madhava Rao, who seldom shows his face to the outer world. Now we are happy that our Federation is moving fast in the correct direction and the entire pensioner community could feel safe at the hands of our eminent leaders of AIRIEF. Days are not far off. We will certainly win in our current legal battle and we could count upon success on all other important pending issues in the days to come.

" Will you now agree that the sky has now become crystal clear ? "

Long Live All India Retired Insurance Employees Federation.

Ever Yours,------------------M.P.Subrahmanian,, Madurai..

5)SWITZERLAND – WHAT IS IN A HANDSHAKE?"
Somehow I am reminded of the saying "When you are in Rome, be like a Roman."
In Tamil there is a proverb meaning you have to adjust yourself according to place (idam), means (porul) and circumstances (eval). I leave it at that.
---------SRNAGARAJAN
-6)Sir, If there is a mind, there is a way, we know well of the culture of L I C in asking adjournments after adjournments to the extent of pensioners. If L I C has a mind they could have honoured Justice M N Bhandari Judgement D/ 12 01 2010. They are trying to while away the time with some means or other.
Let us hope and be an optimistic view that will extend our life. If the time compels
one cannot have any other alternative they will do, similarly, L I C is not an exception.
Let us pray for the good health of our leader Shri K M L Aasthana.
Secondly, let us hope that the Almighty may also bless us for pensioners fraternity,
and the Victory is of the Pensioners and L I C will have to oblige the Court.
HOLD HIGH THE BANNER OF AIRIEF : : AIRIEF IS OUR STRENGTH
With Greetings, ------------L S R Krishna Rao

COMMUTATION : How the Govt is FLEECING the Pensioners & Senior Citizens !
 Tharakaram G N <tharakaram@gmail.com
: Dear All,
IT  IS  SIMPLY  DIABOLICAL  !!
Please read the article linked below with patience ~ You will be HORRIFIED to realise as to how the Indian Govt is LOOTING it's OWN employees , outrightly FLEECING the Pensioners , who also happen to be Senior Citizens in their Sunset years !!
This article was originally published in Sep 2015, and as mentioned in it's last para, the matter was taken up with the 7th CPC also by the Retd IPS officers' association.
However, it appears that  NO  cognisance has been taken either  by the 7th CPC or by the Govt.
It appears that the Only way to stop this GROSS Injustice and Day-light Robbery , is  that some   powerful organisation needs to take matter to the H'ble Supreme Court.

Thanx a million.
Superb & Stupendous  quotes,Inspirational
One has to read & read, what a hobby, what an education, what a refinement happens
People unforunately dont realise the truth
Sad spectacle today, reading habit has declined
Many reasons, quality of Teachers & Trainers has deteriorated
Where is the inspiration, where is the Role Model ?
Because ,now tagged on for many many years with AIRIEF, I regret my real & abiding interest in reading Variety has declined, even if I read a lot, reply a lot
It is a Treasure u have sent, sure I shall be able to go thro, relish, circulate the best to my friends & relatives, which, even otherwise I am doing in a small measure
In our younger days, myself & my brother Sri RVRamesh ransacked, Madras University  Library, Connemara Library, British Council , USIS Library & of course our dear Loyola College Library.Librarian Sri Michael used to be so happy to see we 2 like strange brothers, read avidly, take abudant text books, return on time.
Education is the manifestation of the perfetion already in man
Bapre, copious Notes for Economics, Politics,IAS Preparation etc still memory is ever-green

Dear Sir, Superb and outstanding analysis of the case points. Our prayers for favourable judgement at an early date.

16)Dear Shri Kishore,
Goodness great ! You amaze me every time you enter so to say a marathon in presenting facts figures and submissions for ongoing Kurukshetra of Pensioners v. unyeilding authorities and tardy legal system ! I have literally gone through almost word by word of your umpteenth presentations on the  subject  over the  years. Latest surpasses all of of them. Wonder where do you get so much energy from at your age with  at times health not being on your side ! Almost unthinkable. I wish you were 20 years younger, equip yourself as S.C. counsel and thunder before the Bench yourself vehemently with all the ammunition in your brief leaving no stone unturned so that all luminaries on the other side get stumped. Leaving no choice for judiciary but to succumb to your lines of argument with most convincing verdict in favour of pensioners. It can even happen post-31/8. I can only say " godspeed " and best wishes.

Regards Sincerely      Harish.Ganatra.

17) FINAL for DELHI HCPENDING ISSUES & CONCERNS, RULE 3A,40%IR etc
Dear Kishore Sir,As one of our colleagues mentioned in the blog how I and many readers of your mail wish you were there in DHC to brief the lawyers about our case.We would have had a walkover.I really salute your efforts and thorough knowledge of our case. 19)All 89 family pensioners would have got either nil or single digit IR, as any higher amount received by them would have been what was due to the deceased retiree.Even the single digit amount would have been due to the rounding off of the revised basic family pension to the next higher Rupee and for all the remaining months  upto 31/3/2016 the difference would have been negative .
This itself proves the anomaly in the IR calculations by LIC.
Kind regards.,----------CHMahadevan
20)Dear RBK jii..
I (we) have no words to express myJoy and find  no words to convey my (our) congratulations on your in depth knowledge and intelligentsia  in handling our pensioners matter…
This much of detailed things and data, how you stored in your mind, I don't know but you really a miracle man of our days. We are now, we feel, in safe hands of you and more
we are much relived of our agony..because you have absorbed all that on our behalf. Your concern of our
Pensioners welfare, we believe 100% True and GOLD. I pray GOD almighty to shower the choicest  blessings on you and on  your family members and keep in good health for ever
. With kind regards

21)Dear Sri R.B.Kishor ji,  After a very long time I had the occasion to read the presentation you have prepared to plead the LIC  pensioners problems to the court. You have the inborn qualities & skills of presentation . I must thank you for taking such a trouble to study the pensioners problems in such a giant institution like LIC and ably putting forth to the courts knowledge.  God bless you sir.

23)Banks Retirees : Supreme Court decision- 50% to all.
Sukhvinder Singh to All Banks Retirees Friends CLUB.
An imp msg received from Shri H. I. Jani, ( AGM Rtrd. and Asso. Activist) FOR INFORMATION OF ALL PENSIONERS
Mr Dushyant Dave, President of Supreme Court Bar Association has said that all 21 Lawyers of the SCBA are ready to represent the Veterans in SC on OROP Pro- Bono (Pro-Bono means without cost to the applicant)
THIS IS AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE IN RETIRED BANKERS GOOGLE BLOG
Dear friends,
It is surprising that a land mark judgement delivered by the Supreme Court of India on 01 07 2015, Civil Appeal no. 1123 of 2015 has gone unnoticed and except for a brief letter from Shri S R Sen Gupta to IBA, no other union has taken any steps.
The salient features of the judgement:
1. The bench has authoritatively ruled that Pension is a right and the payment of it does not depend upon the discretion of the Government. Pension is governed by rules and a Government Servant coming within those rules is entitled to claim pension.
2.The judgement has recognised that the revision of pension and revision of pay scales are INSEPARABLE.
3.The bench has reiterated that on revision the Basic pension cannot be less than 50% of the Basic Pension in the minimum of the Pay Band in the revised scale corresponding to the pre-revised scale.
4.The government CANNOT take a plea of financial burden to deny legitimate dues of the pensioners.
5.The Government SHOULD AVOID unwarranted litigation and not to encourage any litigation for the sake of litigation.
6. When pension is upheld to be a right and NOT A BOUNTY, as a corollary to the averment that revision of pension and revision of pay scales are INSEPARABLE, upgradation of pension is also a RIGHT AND NOT A BOUNTY.
THE JUDGEMENT IS BASED ON THE DECISION ON D S NAKARA CASE.
The above details are available in the latest issue of Canara Bank Retired Officer's Association Circular no 3/2016 dated 1st August 2016.
The judgement is very clear and I wonder how no one has noticed the important aspects and why no one has taken up the matter with the IBA/Govt.
Why no one has reacted to the judgement is surprising and perplexing.
While agitation is on why can't we take recourse to court also as Supreme Court advocates are offering their services. One ruling by SC that govt can't deny pension for lack of funds regarding OROP every year and VRS case
24) Dear Sri Kishore,    Thanx for the gist of the important judgement on revision of pensions-----------Kasi Viswanathan
