Review Of DHC Proceedings -- Belated Wisdom ?

Beloved Colleagues,
Earlier reports revealed praising the united move of all of our Sr.Counsels who were present in the court hall to present our case under common agreed upon agenda. When hearing commenced, Sri. Nidesh Gupta had  initiated his arguments with relevant details. Other three Sr.Counsels also have unfurled their arguments based on factual documents . It was then reported in a particular write-up that Hon'ble Justice Khanna intervened several times not approving of our submissions. It was even guessed that he might have had some inferences  The author of the report admitted earlier that all the four Sr.Counsels had placed their arguments eloquently and the judge too heard them keenly. There were no adverse remarks then about the part played by Sri. Nidesh Gupta in the earlier report of the author of the present report.
Now he comes out with some explanations to please his followers that every thing went wrong because of the initiation of the arguments of Sri. Nidesh Gupta much against the normal procedure. At a time when the author's advocate, being the senior-most, was expected to begin his arguments, Sri. Nidesh Gupta stepped ( jumped )into the scene voluntarily. These explanations are coming out since the verdict came in favour of LIC. Had it been in our favour, the observations could have been a different one. Is it because of belated wisdom ? We never expected such unpalatable remarks from a seasoned gentleman about an eminent Sr.Counsel who appears for a different group of clients. Quite against his own earlier predictions about the mood of the judge based on supposed inferences, now seeking a scapegoat for a small temporary setback is something playful.
There was a call for a united move from the very same gentleman since some time past. A section of pensioners also welcomed such an attempt. Both Sri. H.K.Aggarwal, myself and a few others hoped that combined efforts and collective wisdom would yield better results. Now it becomes evident that unanimity may not emerge among the Sr.Counsels. It may give room for throwing the blame upon someone else, in case of failures.
I hasten to withdraw my appeal for a united front. Let us be independent in our thoughts and actions. Let us be cautious about people who speak something now and something else later with concocted explanations.Suffice to be original. Let us not hurt others. God save them.
With clear conscience,
Yours affectionately,
M.P.Subrahmanian,
RIEA, Madurai.
