TRAVEL TIPS FOR RECENTLY RETD. = This Vednesday VIP information

Recently I came across recently retd. and knew that almost all of them dont know the V.imp information regarding Travel.

Hence, repeated now.

1. In online train reservation tkts, there dont appear sr.citizen quota.

    Only General, physical, ladies.

    Even if you were shown RAC/WL, go ahead with booking and at third stage, ie., after filling name etc details page & clicking on 'Next"  then appear "MAKE PAYMENT" page.

There you get sr.citizen quota - ie., eventhough shown WL in 1st Page, you may normally get "Available" in 3rd Page / MAKE PAYMENT Page.

2.  At train reservation counters also, you specifically enquire whether sr.citizen quota verified if said WL.

3. Spouse/wife if 58, then sr. citizen quota eligible.  If spouse below 58, and you get confirmed tkt under sr.citizen quota and her waitlisted, then verify/try under "Ladies Quota"

4. In APSRTC, 25% concession for sr. citizens 60 years and above,  for buses of every type.

    Photo ID AGE PROOF MUST Be.

    In Telengana, Ladies concession 25% - pl check up.

    If you travel in other states, then also enquire about sr.citizen/ladies concession in STATE RTC buses before buying Bus Tkt.  In redbus.com also dont forget to press for sr.citizen concession.
