"e)Other
Lacuna ,terrible, is ,he has CUT OFF ,for arrears, ENTIRE PERIOD to

KMLAsthana WP 6676/1998 (18/12/1998) ie a bitter long 76 months swallowed, not allowed ,gone with the wind." --- R.B.Kishore : Pensioners' E-mails and feedback. (Emphasis supplied - P.R.)
And nine months for LIC to pay the pittance of "arrears"?!
"HENRY BOLINGBROKE
How long a time lies in one little word!
Four lagging winters and four wanton springs
End in a word: such is the breath of kings." (Emphasis supplied --- P.R.)
---Shakespeare, Richard II : Act 1, Scene 3
The Hon'ble Judges of the Delhi High Court, M/s Sanjiv Khanna and
Chandar Sekhar, would seem to have taken it upon themselves to don the
mantle of the kings of those dark ages and tried to impress all with
what their power is and how their words matter and to drive home the
point that "such is the breath of judges"😖
One is tempted to think that Mr Justice C.Karnan may be right, after all😂
We will be doing a great injustice to posterity if we left this
farce of " DELHI H C 'JUDGMENT' " alone🤐, without challenging it in the
Supreme Court, unmindful of the expenses, resources and time that such a
challenge entails and ignoring the pittance that LIC has been asked to
dole out as monthly 'increase' in pension and as 'arrears'. We have
jogged along without it so far, thank you, and can make sacrifices to
uphold a principle, even if the struggle does not bear fruit in our
lifetimes.
One tends to think that this is a political finding with the Finance
Ministry of India dictating the text and the two judges writing it,
fully aware of the fact that there's nothing, but NOTHING, that we poor
pensioners can do about it except going on appeal at enormous cost,
trouble and sacrifices. One wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that
even the judges concerned of the Supreme Court were privies to this
nefarious shenanigan prepetrated on hapless pensioners😨
