Now that CO has advised the DOs not to proceed until further instructions, there is no need to send any protest letter immediately.
If LIC revises its instructions to pay from 18/12/1998,the purpose will be served.Let us wait for some time.
Kind regards.

"DHC has at least provided partial relief "
DHC, by its judgement consigned us to the dark ages, pushing us back some 5 centuries and created more anomalies by providing this 'partial relief' which is factored in by our own people as a positive development, claiming that it is a victory for the long-suffering pensioners.
What I think is that the ORDER of the Delhi High Court is the proverbial "curate's egg" and it reminds me of a couplet from Sreekrishnacharitham Manipravalam"  à´¶്à´°ീà´•ൃà´·്ണചരിà´¤ം മണിà´ª്à´°à´µാà´³ം à®¸்à®°ீகிà®°ுà®·்ணசரிதம் மணிப்ரவாளம் by the Malayalam poet Kunjan Nambiar à´•ുà´ž്ചൻ നമ്à´ª്à´¯ാർ à®•ுஞ்சன் நம்பியாà®°் :

The gopis are complaining to Yasoda about Krishnan who is causing untold miseries to them and they say that it is better to have no children at all than having such kind of rowdy children!
To whom should one protest after receiving the " arrears ", please? To the Chairman or to the office which disbursed the "arrears"? Have you drafted a standard form of protest? If so, will you please send me a copy?
I see that Machilipatnam D O has already disbursed the " arrears ".
     Thanks and regards.
