Implementation of the M C Jain case judgment for all similarly placed pensioners

To
Mr M R Kumar,
Chairman,
LIC of India,
Mumbai
Dear Sir,
Re: Implementation of the M C Jain case judgment for all similarly placed pensioners
I refer to the letter addressed to you by Shri D Krishnan General Secretary Federation of Retired LIC Class I Officers' Associations .
Referring to the contents of para No 1 of the said letter, I attach a complete list of  322 similarly placed retired officers who retired between 1/8/1992 and 31/3/1993.A good number among these pensioners have unfortunately expired without getting the benefit of implementation of the judgment delivered in favour of Mr M C Jain.
All the surviving pensioners in this category are octogenarians anxiously waiting for the generosity of the Corporation expecting early implementation of the judgment for their benefits. Interestingly on of the pensioners in the list happens to be a retired Chairman of LIC, viz, Mr K P Narasimhan.
More than six years have elapsed since the delivery of the judgment and more than four years have elapsed since the SLP filed by LIC was dismissed by the Supreme Court.
These pensioners deserve justice at the hands of LIC as these old pensioners are helplessly fighting the sicknesses associated with old age .In fact the human rights of these more than 320  pensioners need imperative protection.
The Corporation needs to act with sensitivity towards these very senior group of pensioners who are at a vulnerable phase of their life.
Kindly take urgent steps to implement the Jaipur judgment in M C Jain's case in respect of these pensioners also
Thanking you,
C H Mahadevan

Vice President,Retired LIC Class I Officers' Association,Hyderabad
