This Thursday TWITTER Power = Bank Retirees yet to realise

For last few years, Bank Retirees resort to Change.org com, mass mails to PM office, or at worst mass memorandum letters to PM & FM on Retirees issues on spot directions from their Associations.

All in futile.

For recent Pension Updation also, some associations sent age old practice of drafting letter and sending to members, ask them  to fill sign and send to PMO.

Bank Retirees yet to know the power of TWITTER Inline image
on which the Media do surveillance for latest updates of PM CMs and, the Ministers, Politicians tweets for spontaneous responses.

One example of this to guide Retirees.

An early morning tweet from the PM's twitter handle @narendramodi on Wednesday said, "Anguished by the loss of lives in the unseasonal rain and storm in Gujarat, Authorities are monitoring the situation very closely. All possible assistance is being given to those affected".
Within minutes, chief minister Kamal Nath retorted over Twitter, "Modiji, you are PM of the country, not of Gujarat. More than ten persons have died after lightning struck in the unseasonal rains and storms in MP. But your sensitivity is confined to Gujarat only? Maybe, your party's government  is not here, but people live here too."

At 9:45 am @PMOIndia tweeted, "PM @narendramodi approved an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund for the next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to unseasonal rain and storms in various parts of Gujarat."

Finally at 11:02 am, the PMO went beyond Gujarat. A new tweet said, "PM @narendramodi has expressed grief at the loss of lives due to unseasonal rains and storms in MP, Rajsthan, Manipur and various parts of the country. The government is doing its best to provide all possible assistance  to those affected.
The next tweet from PMO said, "An ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each for the next of kin of those who lost their lives due to unseasonal rain & storms in MP, Rajasthan, Manipur & various parts of the country has been approved from the PM's National Relief Fund. Rs 50,000 each for the injured has also approved".

That is the power of TWITTER now, Bank Rwtirees to realise.

When Governments conveying and communicating via twitter, why not Bank Retirees and their Association for getting due attention from the officials/Ministers.

Few months back, nationwide dharnas at huge cost and energies saying drawing attention of public and media.  And again Memorandums to Minsters and MPs again proved farcely actions. But the twitter postings will get better impact and attention from media and public now.   - and two birds with one shot - the concerned offiicials also can be addressed before media and public via twitter.Emoji
- instead of  change.org, emails, & written memorandums.Emoji
