In continuation of our earlier letter of even number dated 8th July, 2016, wherein clarification was issued, whether payment of salaries based on 7th CPC recommendations will be made from current month or otherwise, it is hereby clarified that; salary of August month will be based on 7th CPC recommendations.

Com. Shiva Gopal Mishra has welcomed the formation of High Level Committee formed by Ministry of Finance. While speaking on India 24×7 on 07.07.2016, Com. Shiva Gopal Mishra Convener / NJCA assured 33 Lakhs central government employees that NJCA will put forth its demands to Government very strongly and hopes positive outcome coming out of negotiations. Com. Shiva Gopal Mishra said that Minimum wages recommended by 7th Pay Commission are not acceptable to them at all and they hope that High Level Committee would do the needful in this regard in stipulated time frame i.e. four months.

7th Pay Commission: Govt ‘by and large’ accepts recommendations, minimum pay now Rs 18,000

The 7th Pay Commission report will be effective from January 1, and the Cabinet will decide if the arrears for the six months have to be paid in one go or in installments.

Bonanza for government staff: Cabinet approves 23.6% overall pay hike

NEW DELHI: The Cabinet on Wednesday approved a 23.6 per cent increase in government employees' overall pay - basic pay plus allowances - as recommended by the 7th Pay Commission.

There were reports yesterday that the increase would be higher than what the Commission recommended, but that didn't happen.

The Pay Commission's recommendations are to be implemented retroactively, from January 1, 2016. The increase in the basic pay is 14.27 per cent and with the hike proposed in allowances, the rise in remunerations comes to 23.6 per cent. The pay hike will benefit 47 lakh central government employees and 52 lakh pensioners .

Seventh Central Pay Commission

In a resolution dated 28th February, 2014, Government of India has appointed the Seventh Central Pay Commission comprising Justice Shri Ashok Kumar Mathur as Chairman, Shri Vivek Rae as full time Member, Dr. Ratin Roy as part time Member and Smt. Meena Agarwal as Secretary. The Commission is headquartered in Delhi and has been given 18 months from date of its constitution to make its recommendations. To this end the Commission will set up its team of Officers, Advisers, Institutional Consultants and Experts and call for required information and documents from Ministries and Departments of Government of India and various Service associations.
The dates of appointment and submission of recommendations of the previous six central pay commissions are as under-
