Urine is never a comfortable thing to
talk about, but we're all adult here aren't we (Timmy, please get off
the computer now), and we do pee several times a day. From time to time,
you must have noticed that your urine has different colors, sometimes
darker, sometimes lighter. So if you are curious about what this
might mean or if you have an unusual color in your urine that frightens
you, this is the place to check.

How to hold your pee (Bladder basics)
How to hold your pee (Bladder basics)
You are in a very important meeting, the AC is killing, it's your presentation next and your bladder's demanding a release.
Or. You may be you are on a street, grocery shopping! Having to hold in pee may be difficult or unpleasant. But if you are without acceptable facilities, privacy, time, or opportunity, here's how to cope.
Close your urethra: Most people do this automatically when a slight urge to pee is first felt. As the urge to pee grows, tensing unnecessary muscles can waste effort and may make the problem worse. Focus instead on isolating and squeezing muscles surrounding the urethra while allowing other muscles to relax on their own.
Reposition your body: The way you position your body can help you tighten the muscles around your bladder, and make you feel like holding it is more possible. Don't press the lower part of your stomach, at all. It will put more pressure on your bladder.
Cross your legs when standing: Don't cross your legs when sitting. Doing this can result in pain or possible loss of bladder control.

Chairman's message in Information Sharing on 24/1/2015
The performance of LIC of India in New Business as at 31/12/2014 showing a decline of over 58% in Number of Policies and about 28% in First Premium Income is no doubt sending out alarms for not only the Corporation but also the life insurance industry as a whole.
While the market share of LIC has stabilised over 70% in First Year Premium Income and over 78% in number of policies, the high negative growth in new business is a significant cause for concern for the life insurance industry as a whole. But LIC as a dominant long standing player for over 58 years has a tremendous staying power with all its valuable resources at its command and its brand image.

“NASA BBC rumors Cosmic Rays from Mars”
Hoax Alert: Cosmic Rays from Mars Entering Earth
There
have been rumors circulating that cosmic rays from Mars are entering
Earth tonight so we need to switch off our phones, or put them away from
us.
Tonight 12:30 am to 3:30 am cosmo rays entering earth from mars. So switch off your mobile at night. Don’t keep your cell with you & put it away while you are sleeping because they are too much dangerous rays: NASA informs BBC NEWS. Pls spread this news.
The message above is clearly nothing more than just another HOAX.
I don’t know why people are circulating panic messages such as this to
disturb the lives of other people. From what I have noticed, this
message has been circulating since 2008 and it suddenly reappeared
today, 6 April 2012. I also received text messages containing this false
information and saw similar Facebook posts.
I did my own research and I have found no
credible reports that confirm the claims in the warning message. There
are no references to such a threat listed on credible scientific
websites. I also checked the NASA and BBC news today to see if they have
posted something like this. Fortunately, both have never said such a
thing and will never probably produce a similar baseless statement.

Calls for four days Strike from 25th to 28th February, 2015
Indefinite Strike from 16th March, 2015
In our earlier
Circular No.UFBU/2015/44 dated 19-1-2015, we had informed that in the
background of the assurance given by IBA towards expeditious wage
settlement and considering the positive developments since last
conciliation meeting held on 5th January 2015, UFBU had put on hold its
call for 4 days' strike from 21st January 2015.
In this background another round of negotiations between IBA and UFBU was held in Mumbai yesterday (i.e., 3rd February 2015). Subsequent to a general reporting of the discussions held in the meetings of the three Sub-Committees on (i) Employees' service conditions, (ii) Officers' service conditions and (iii) revised medical reimbursement scheme, the important issue of further improvement in the wage increase offer came up for discussion. IBA sought the view of UFBU about revising its demand from 19.5% in order to arrive at a final deal. UFBU informed IBA that the wage increase offer needs to be substantially improved by IBA as assured and accordingly UFBU would negotiate further to reach a final accord. Quoting, once again, the strenuous financial performance of various Banks, IBA informed that the banks are not in a position to accept the demand of the UFBU. After prolonged discussions, IBA finally proposed to improve their offer from 12.5% to 13% and expected UFBU to scale down its demand.
Since the increase in offer of 0.5% by IBA was paltry, inadequate and not satisfactory, UFBU met thereafter and decided to revive the strike programmes as under:
9th February 2015 Centralised Demonstrations at all centres
13th February 2015 Centralised Demonstrations at all centres
20th February 2015 Badge Wearing & Demonstrations
23rd February 2015 Press Meet in all State capitals
24th February 2015 Centralised Demonstrations at all centres
25th to 28th February 2015 FOUR DAYS' ALL INDIA BANK STRIKE
2nd to 14th March 2015 Further preparatory programmes
16th March onwards INDEFINITE STRIKE
Comrades, the sincere and persuasive efforts of UFBU to negotiate a reasonable and mutually acceptable wage increase are being misunderstood by the IBA and the Government as its weakness. With utmost patience, for the past two years, UFBU has been making its best efforts to settle the demands amicably. At every point of time, we have shown our flexibility. But unfortunately, it is not being reciprocated by the IBA.
When the entire workforce in the banking industry is making every effort to implement the various programmes of the Government including the recent Jan Dhan Yojana, when employees and officers are working under lot of stress and maximum difficulty due to manpower shortage and increased volume of work, it is regrettable that the Government is remaining a passive spectator without initiating any steps to find an amicable solution to the genuine expectations of bank employees for a better and reasonable wage revision.
UFBU has been once again pushed to the path of struggle. We call upon all our units and the entire membership to rise as one and plunge into action to implement the programmes successfully.
State-level UFBU meetings should be held immediately to plan out the steps to be initiated for making all the programmes a total success.
Comrades - March ahead with solidarity and unity - Let us exhibit clearly that our united movement brings Success and success alone.....

(Re-issue of Passport)

Bank employees to go on strike from February 25-28

Following last week's failed negotiations between the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) and the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), the umbrella organisation of bank unions, over wage hike, the latter has decided to go on strike from February 25 to February 28 seeking revision in wages.
The UFBU includes All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA), National Confederation of Bank Employees, Bank Employees Federation of India, Indian National Bank Employees Federation, Indian National Bank Officers Congress, National Organisation of Bank Workers, All India Bank Officers Association and National Organisation of Bank Officers.
"Since the increase in offer of 0.5 per cent by IBA was paltry, inadequate and not satisfactory, UFBU has decided to revive the strike programme. There will be four days' all India bank strike at Public Sector Banks (PSBs) from February 25-28," said UFBU Gujarat chapter convener Ajay Badani, who is also the general secretary of SBI Employees' Union.
IBA had proposed to improve wage hike offer from 12.5 per cent to 13 per cent and said that the 19.5 per cent rise sought in wages by the unions was unacceptable because of the strenuous financial performance of the banks.
Badani, in a press meet organised here on Monday, said "Bank employees are not responsible for rising Non Performing Assets (NPAs). Top executives of the bank and political pressure are putting stress on NPAs. We seek 19.5 per cent revision in wage in view of increased volume of work and manpower shortage."
He further alleged that Corporate entities are responsible for rising NPAs of Public Sector Banks for which bank staff are being made to suffer.
The proposed strike, as per UBFU, is expected to affect transactions worth Rs 12,000 crore in public sector banks in Gujarat. UFBU said that if negotiations fail further, the unions would go on indefinite strike from March 16.

Wrinkles: Treatments and prevention
In ancient times, having wrinkles
often meant that you were successful for having reached an old age. It
was a sign of wisdom, health, and longevity. With the advancements in
medical knowledge and care, we all get to live longer, meaning that
wrinkles are becoming less a sign of success, and more a sign of just
being old. Any pharmacy will have a plethora of “anti-aging” creams and
products meant to make wrinkles less visible, but the best way to reduce
the likeliness of wrinkles, one just needs know these facts:
1. The more expressive you are, the more wrinkles you’ll have
Laugh-lines, frown-lines,
crow’s-feet, etc. – they all are results of your more common
expressions. These lines become ingrained in your skin through years of
similar motions and are impossible to reduce without plastic surgery as a
facelift or by injecting special fillers under the skin.
|
|
2. Changing your diet can make a difference
Fruits and vegetables that are rich
in antioxidants help the body combat the effects of free radicals, which
are the main cause for aging-related symptoms. Foods that are
particularly rich in antioxidants are prunes, raspberries, strawberries,
cranberries, walnuts blueberries, pinto beans, and red beans.
3. Spending time in your car increases the likeliness of wrinkles
You may feel safe from the sun’s rays
in your car, but the sad truth is that the car windows can be your
worst enemy. They provide no UVA protection, so if you sit in traffic a
lot – you’re also being exposed to the sun, often on one side
specifically. Always wear sunscreen when you go for a drive – your skin
will thank you.
|
|
4. Do you sleep on one side? You’re more likely to get wrinkles
If your favorite sleeping position is
on your side or stomach, with your face lying on a pillow – you’re
creating your own wrinkles. As your face presses into the pillow, it
creates many wrinkles on your face, similarly to expression lines.
5. Drinking water helps reduce wrinkles
Most people don’t know or understand
the importance of drinking sufficient amounts of water during the day.
If we’re not sufficiently hydrated, our skin dries out, and dry skin
gets damaged more easily because it loses its elasticity and becomes
more brittle. Make sure you’re well hydrated throughout the day, and
you’ll keep those wrinkles at bay.
|
|
6. Frown lines can mean problems with your vision
While most other wrinkles are the
results of age or sun damage, frown lines are not. These wrinkles that
appear between your eyes are most often an indication that you probably
need an eye exam. If you take care of vision problems early enough –
you’ll be able to delay, and even prevent these wrinkles.
7. Look at old family photos
Wrinkles are hereditary, and by
investigating your family’s history you can often predict when you’ll
start getting wrinkles, how pronounced they will be and where are they
most likely to occur. Knowing that will help you care for “danger zones”
in advance.
|
|
8. Face creams can slow down the appearance of wrinkles
Collagen levels in your skin
determine its elasticity. As we get older, our bodies produce less
collagen, contributing to the appearance of wrinkles. By using face
creams that contain peptides, alpha hydroxy acids, retinoid, and vitamin
C, you increase skin turnover, encouraging the production of collagen
to a degree. Another way is a procedure called “Skin Tightening via
Radio Frequency” that causes mild inflammation in the skin, promoting
increased production of collagen. While this procedure is effective – it
can be quite costly.

When I Started Loving Myself...
A poem by Charlie Chaplin written on his 70th birthday on April 16, 1959.
|
When I started loving myself
I understood that I’m always and at any given opportunity
in the right place at the right time.
And I understood that all that happens is right –
from then on I could be calm.
Today I know: It’s called TRUST.
When I started to love myself I understood how much it can offend somebody
When I tried to force my desires on this person,
even though I knew the time is not right and the person was not ready for it,
and even though this person was me.
Today I know: It’s called LETTING GO
When I started loving myself
I could recognize that emotional pain and grief
are just warnings for me to not live against my own truth.
Today I know: It’s called AUTHENTICALLY BEING.
When I started loving myself
I stopped longing for another life
and could see that everything around me was a request to grow.
Today I know: It’s called MATURITY.
When I started loving myself
I stopped depriving myself of my free time
and stopped sketching further magnificent projects for the future.
Today I only do what’s fun and joy for me,
what I love and what makes my heart laugh,
in my own way and in my tempo.
Today I know: it’s called HONESTY.
When I started loving myself
I escaped from all what wasn’t healthy for me,
from dishes, people, things, situations
and from everyhting pulling me down and away from myself.
In the beginning I called it the “healthy egoism”,
but today I know: it’s called SELF-LOVE.
When I started loving myself
I stopped wanting to be always right
thus I’ve been less wrong.
Today I’ve recognized: it’s called HUMBLENESS.
When I started loving myself
I refused to live further in the past
and worry about my future.
Now I live only at this moment where EVERYTHING takes place,
like this I live every day and I call it CONSCIOUSNESS.
When I started loving myself
I recognized, that my thinking
can make me miserable and sick.
When I requested for my heart forces,
my mind got an important partner.
Today I call this connection HEART WISDOM.
We do not need to fear further discussions,
conflicts and problems with ourselves and others
since even stars sometimes bang on each other
and create new worlds.
Today I know: THIS IS LIFE!

CIRCULAR
NO. 2/2015, Dated: February 10, 2015
Subject: Chargeability of
Interest under Section 234A of the Income-tax Act, 1961 on self-assessment tax
paid before the due date of filing of return of income-regarding
Interest under Section 234A of the Income-tax Act, 1961
(hereinafter the Act) is charged in case of default in furnishing return of
income by an assessee. The interest is charged at the specified rate on the
amount of tax payable on the total income, as reduced by the amount of advance tax,
TDS/TCS, any relief of tax allowed under section 90 and section 90A, any
deduction allowed under section 91 and any tax credit allowed in accordance
with the provisions of section 115JAA and section 115JD of the Act. Since
self-assessment tax is not mentioned as a component of tax to be reduced from
the amount on which interest under section 234A of the Act is chargeable,
interest is being charged on the amount of self-assessment tax paid by the
assessee even before the due date of filing of return.
2. It has been held by
the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the case of CIT vs Prannoy Roy, 309 ITR 231
(2009) that the interest under section 234A of the Act on
default in furnishing return of income shall be payable only on the amount of
tax that has not been deposited before the due date of filing of the income-tax
return for the relevant assessment year. Accordingly, the present practice of
charging interest under section 234A of the Act on self-assessment tax paid
before the due date of filing return was reviewed by CBDT.
3. The Board has decided that no interest under
section 234A of the Act is chargeable on the amount of self-assessment tax paid
by the assessee before the due date of filing of return of income.
4. This Circular may be brought to the notice of
all officers for compliance.
